Stephen see a big success and want to know how he did it by adopting the habits. These habits are:
1.Be Proactive:
Proactive means to keep yourself stable is a first important aspect. Don't react or create any situation of your problem. At the same time think about it and create a better solution of your problem.
Reactive: They blame other for their problem. They can't accept the problem & gives to other.
Proactive: They take their all responsibility & can't blame to others for their problems. They think about their problems & find solution.
"Focus on things you can change , Not on the things which you can't change."
2.Begin with the end in mind:
Starts with a clear destination in mind. Author says we can use our imagination to develop a vision of what we want to become and use our conscience to decide what values will guide us. Be clear about your goals. If you don't have a clear plan for your life, you'll probably fall into someone else plan.
Take your action in timely manner. It may take some time to prove but you must keep in your mind. You have a goal and you must achieve it.
3.Put First things First:
In order to manage our daily-life effectively we must put first things first. We must have the discipline to prioritize our day-to-day actions based on what is most important. In order to maintain the discipline and the focus to stay on track toward our goals,we need to have the willpower to do something when we don't want to do it.
When you read this line "Put first things first" you think ohh it was really easy. You may do it in 1 day,1 week or 10 days must only. But it can't exact like that. It looks like -" Simple to understand but very difficult to implement."
4.Think win win:
Most people think they have scarcity mentality. They think that everything is a win-lose and lose-win situation. They see every situation as competition,in which the winner takes it all, and the looser little or nothing. Author explains that there are six paradigms of human interaction:
1.Win-Win: Both people win,Agreements or solutions are mutually beneficial and satisfying to both parties.
2.Win-Lose: Here if one is win then other one is lose.
3.Lose-Win: Here if i lose then you win.
4.Lose-Lose: Both people lose.
5.Win: People with the Win mentality don't necessarily want someone else to lose.
6.Win-Win: If got the situation i.e mutually beneficial for both.
5.Seek First to understand then to be understood:
Communication is one of the most important skills in life. But most people never learn how to listen. Most people try to understand first. they want to bring their point across so badly that they often ignore completely what the other person has to say or filter out selectively hear only the parts they want to hear, misunderstanding the true meaning.
Concentrate first on understanding the other person and then put energy into being understood. The listening habit is one of the best leader.
6.Synergy:
Synergy means that two heads are better than one. It represents teamwork, Open-mindness and creativity. Synergy leads to join discoveries which would be much harder to accomplish individually. Each individual gains new and deeper insights through the interaction with others. Synergy is your approach is fundamentally based on respect, cooperation and trust. This habit of strengthening the pitfall is compromise. Synergy encourages us to work together as a team.
